NOW Later X PATTERNITY present Wavescape

NOW Gallery, Greenwich Peninsula

20 April 2017

Bringing 'Frequency' to life

Cult pattern pioneers Grace Winteringham and Anna Murray of PATTERNITY, are taking over NOW Gallery in a late night celebration of patterns. Following on from Frequency, their architectural installation at Greenwich Peninsula, come and join us for an evening of curated film, workshops, meditation and music – all for free.

The duo will reveal the process behind Frequency and create an immersive space for exploration, drawing inspiration from the undulating waves of The River Thames. Look out for a specially commissioned sound bath and breathing experience, as well as meditative and immersive Suminagashi marbling by Liv Taylor, head of research at PATTERNITY.

The event will feature:

SOUND BATH | MAIN GALLERY with Faze Al and Susan Rozo

Sit and absorb ‘The Iris’ installation by Rebecca Louise Law and go on a audio-visual journey.

A short film directed by PATTERNITY in collaboration with visual artists Plastic Horse and DJ Ruf Dug. Watch a meditative visual journey projecting patterns of waves and ripples merging with the PATTERNITY vector graphic hoardings designed for Greenwich Peninsula.

The traditional craft of marbling can help to uplift, unwind and unleash our inner creativity. Focusing on the positive philosophy and uplifting qualities of flow, we’ll get hands-on and learn about the ancient craft of marbling. You’ll create three iris-inspired marbled masterpieces to take home and enjoy.
