Intimate Spaces

NOW Gallery, Greenwich Peninsula

30 September – 23 October 2016

Intimate spaces is a free exhibition exploring the homes and communities that surround the NOW Gallery. Over a period of three months photographers Cian Oba- Smith, Nina Manandhar, Carlos Jimenez and Ingrid Rasmussen will document four districts that co-exist but are entirely different – Greenwich Peninsula, Woolwich Arsenal, Eltham and Thamesmead – building up a beautiful snapshot of modern London in 2016.

Inspired by the iconic George Plemper’s series portraying communities in Thamesmead, you’ll catch a glimpse of people behind closed doors: in their homes, where they play, where they relax and where they work. Questions are sure to pop up: what is home, what is it like to live there, and how has the area changed?
